On 1 July 2026, Decree No 165/2026/ND-CP came into force in Vietnam. Reports emerged that tourists must now fill medical declarations, but on 30 June the Ministry of Health officially clarified this is not mandatory. The declaration is a reserve tool for emergencies (pandemic/infectious disease threat) and requires the Minister's decision. Currently, no epidemic threat exists in Vietnam, so foreign tourists are NOT required to submit health declarations. No additional health checks at airports will be conducted.
