Since March 2025, Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air have prohibited the use of power banks during flights. Power banks may only be carried in hand luggage but cannot be used to charge devices or connected to onboard power outlets. Power banks must be kept in an easily accessible and visible location (e.g., in a seat pocket or next to the passenger), not in overhead bins or deep inside luggage. These restrictions were introduced following several incidents of lithium battery fires aboard aircraft.
